Sharktech was founded in 2003 and is a long-established US infrastructure provider with its own network (AS46844) and five data centers: Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Denver, Chicago and Amsterdam. Its core business is DDoS protection, dedicated servers and colocation; VPS and cloud hosting are the entry-level product lines.

The SmartVPS line is a Proxmox resource pool starting at 2 vCPU / 4GB RAM for $7.95/month ($95.40/year). Every tier includes 40 GiB NVMe storage, 4TB monthly transfer and 1 IPv4 address, deployable in any of the five locations. Storage, transfer and IPv4 can be added from the control panel (storage at $0.01/GiB/month, up to 2,000 GiB).
